December 10th Appeal 2011 and Soroptimists Mobbing for Mums
 

The 2011 President’s December 10th Appeal is Birthing in the Pacific, which seeks to decrease maternal and infant mortality and morbidity in Papua New Guinea by educating, empowering, and enabling skilled birth attendants. To learn more about the project click here. This project is the first December 10th Appeal to sit under SI’s new Educate to Lead programme of work. 

YOU can be involved through action, awareness, and advocacy – and through the inaugural Soroptimist International December 10th Advocacy Campaign! Soroptimist International is organising the first ever worldwide “flash mob” (actual and virtual!) for maternal health: 'Mobbing for Mums'. On December 10th, Soroptimists and their local partners and supporters are asked to participate in this collective, worldwide action to spread the word about what SI are doing to reduce maternal mortality and to voice their support for stronger action to be taken to tackle maternal mortality.
